Sound Unseen is proud to present the MN PREMIERE of the "The First Waltz" by director Justin Kreutzmann at the Trylon Microcinema.
Date: Wed. August 12, 2015
Venue: Trylon microcinema
Mixing intimate concert performances, road scenes, personal tales, and studio footage, "The First Waltz" arrives at a crucial moment to remind us that Jerry Garcia is as important as Ben Franklin, and that rock ‘n’ roll is as much a birthright as The Constitution. Hard Working Americans is a mission as much as a band. Loose-limbed, freak flag waving specters caper inside this freshly minted but quicksilver evolving unit where the boogie politics of Haight-Ashbury canoodle with southern muscle, blue-collar understanding, and a bold rallying cry for true American individualism, freedom and community.
Formed in late 2013, HWA comprises Snider, bassist Dave Schools (Widespread Panic), guitarist Neal Casal (Chris Robinson Brotherhood), keyboardist Chad Staehly (Great American Taxi), drummer Duane Trucks and guitarist Jesse Aycock by director Justin Kreutzmann brings us an insightful, copacetic-minded snapshot of a fertile collaboration of fun loving and wild musicians.
Dir. Justin Kreutzmann, 2014, USA, 94 min., HD
