We’re closing out the 20th anniversary of Sound Unseen in style with some bands that carry the spirit of our closing night film Boy Howdy: The Story of Creem Magazine. Sick Things, a tribute to Detroit’s own Alice Cooper and Saint Small who play a collection of 70’s and 80’s punk and college rock covers.
Bringing the BAND Alice Cooper back to life!
Since 2018 Saint Small has been roaring out of Saint Paul, Minnesota, playing rock and roll with an urgency and go for broke fervor. They know rock's past but live for its future, singing songs of the head and the heart, from politics to hockey dads, pop stars to military radio receivers. Saint Small is a phrase used in Saint Paul when you meet someone and discover a connection - a mutual friend, a past lover, bandmate or neighbor. The music of Saint Small refers to the way everyone and everything seems to be connected, to the little things that unite us all, like rock and roll.
We try our best to do justice to the greatest party band ever, the B-52s! It's not always easy, but it is always fun.
