Free Ride

img_2854.jpg

The 2nd Annual Freeride features a few new stops, new DJ’s, and a new band. If you missed last year’s bike tour around Minneapolis coffee shops and parks, don’t worry, the other 200 bikers had enough fun for you. This year, participating venues include One on One Bike Shop, CRC Café, Peace Coffee, The Nomad, Varsity Cycle and the Alt. Music from The Haves Have It, DJ Tony Paul, DJ Lori Barbero, Keston & Westdal, Serpikopisch, D.O., DJ Butcher, Surly Nick and 4130.

All riding levels welcome!

Sunday, August 26 @ 1pm - meet at CRC Café @ 34th & Lyndale.

    Hi there,

Really excited to play the FREERIDE! One request, can you please fix the spelling on Keston and Westdal? Correct spelling is WESTDAL.

    Thanks!

    -John

  2. Marina Says:

    Fixed. thanks!

This isn’t a critical mass type “Let’s really piss off all the cars” ride, is it? If not, count me in.

  4. Andrew Says:

You’re going to have to show up and find out! (that’s it’s not a CM-style, politically themed ride)

  5. ERIC Says:

critical mass bike ride it will be

  6. gretchen Says:

last year we were really nice to cars, handing them roses if we had to stop them.

  7. zitox Says:

No! It is not a critical mass, more of a critical BASH! We try to avoid interaction with cars, utilizing, bikeways and by-ways. Of course, there are a few places where we have to deal with some traffic, but the only people who need to deal are the pre-appointed traffic “droogs”, and the flower girls giving flowers to patient motorists. Anyone being a dick to cars or taking actions that could cause grief for his/her fellow riders will be DERBIED! and left bleeding in the street. I promise.
